Osteoporosis is a bone disease characterized by reduced bone mass (bone density), which increases the risk of fracture. One of the main causes of the disease is poor diet and lack of exercise. Osteoporosis mainly affects women with statistics showing that one out of three women over the age of 50 are affected by osteoporosis.

The signs of osteoporosis appear before the age of 50 though, a fact which makes prevention imperative. YGIA Polyclinic on an effort to raise awareness and motivate women to include prevention in their lives, has designed Special Prevention Diagnostic Packages, combining Mammography, Breast Ultrasound and Osteoporosis check up.
